A MIND-BLOWING 5-minute game!
Find three in a row without causing an explosion!
Bombastic is a spicy, five-minute, travel-friendly game for two players. One player is Xs, and the other is Os — pretty standard so far. But what you don't know can hurt you. Nine chunky tiles are shuffled face down into a 3×3 grid — 4 of them Xs, 4 of them Os, and the last? A ticking, delicate bomb. Can you find your tiles without blowing up?
On your turn, either:
- Go for It — Show three tiles in a row. If they are yours, you win! If you show the bomb — BOOM! You lose! If you show any of your opponent's tiles, then you give them helpful information (whoops), but the tiles are placed back face down, and the game keeps going.
- Use one of two available action cards to help you peek at and rearrange tiles, staying one step ahead of your rival.
Only the cleverest player who uses the action cards wisely (and isn't afraid to take a chance here and there) will be able to win Bombastic!
Bombastic is part of Bitewing Games’ Travel Line. It comes packaged inside a clamshell case with a carabiner, making it easy to play with anyone, anywhere!
It’s tic-tac-toe, but good!
Everybody is familiar with tic-tac-toe. It’s something that we’ve all played in many settings including at school, in the car, on a plane, at the restaurant, on the sand of the beach, and more. It’s quick and simple, and all you need is a surface to write on. The only problem… is that it is not very fun. Bombastic solves that problem — it retains all the best parts of tic-tac-toe (simple, quick, playable anywhere with anyone), and makes it EXPLOSIVELY FUN.
Because everyone already knows how to play tic-tac-toe, it’s easy to play with anyone, anywhere. Simply clip the carabiner onto your bag or toss the clamshell case into your purse and bust it out whenever. Bombastic can be taught in 30 seconds and played in under 5 minutes. In an instant you’ll dive straight into the tense fun of peeking at Xs and Os, swapping tiles, and pushing-your-luck to claim victory. It’s always funny to see a player’s schemes blow up in their face and satisfying to outfox your rival.
It’s important to snatch up as many sugar cubes as you can because these can be spent on powerful abilities on the chocolate board. These rule-breaking effects allow you to execute brilliant maneuvers and make thrilling comebacks.
