Deep Strike Ruler Template 9"

A 9" Deep Strike Rapid Deployment Ruler is a straight, curved-edge measuring stick made from Perspex that measures exactly nine inches, the exact distance that miniatures must maintain when entering the tabletop from reserve in Warhammer 40,000® . Cut from 3mm fluorescent Perspex, this 100% compatible tool is just the right thickness to slide between closely packed scenery without shifting. According to the 10th Edition Rapid Deployment rule , a unit that starts the game in reserves can be deployed “anywhere on the battlefield that is more than 9″ horizontally from all enemy models” during your Reinforcement Step. The distance is measured from base to base (or hull to base for vehicles) horizontally—height is ignored—so a reliable nine-inch calibre is essential.

During a match, the Deep Strike measuring stick streamlines deployment: touch one end to the nearest enemy base, pivot the Deep Strike stick to draw an invisible circle, and instantly know the nearest legal drop point. Since arguments over “eyeballing” nine inches are a common tournament delay, referees often recommend or even facilitate these Deep Strike rules. A single fluorescent marker is more visible than faint meter markers, so opponents check distances at a glance rather than measuring multiple times.
