From mega-author Priest!

A futuristic society is ruled by the Eden System, a mind-link technology aid that removes pain and worry. However, those incapable of being integrated into its system are outcast to the eighth galaxy. Alliance General Lin Jingheng and young Lu Bixing couldn’t be more different, but find themselves united by a common cause: leading the “defectives” in fighting against this unjust world.

The story follows General Lin of the Star Alliance, who is framed and banished to the edge of space. Five years later, he is invited by space pirates to embark on an interstellar adventure. Together with his team of “defectives,” Lin aims to expose the mastermind behind the conspiracy that led to his downfall.

The novel explores themes of political intrigue, space battles, and the growth of relationships between characters. It’s a deeply thought-out story that combines action, sci-fi elements, and emotional depth
